**3D Modeling on Tinkercad **
3d Modeling is a fundamental form of planning that takes time to get it just right. In this model, you will learn the fundamentals of 3d Modeling on Tinkercad by building a house.
The only resources you need for this are a laptop and a tab with Tinkercad open and ready to use.
Your Screen should look like this when ready to create
To get this box as you see here. Look on your right to find the solid box option. Once you click you have freedom to place where ever you want on the board.
After you place you box we must grab the triangle from the same place we got the box. Once you have the triangle selected, place it centered on the box to create the house shape.
This may look like a jump but it's fairly simple! The next shape we select is the transparent box (it looks striped) and place it near the house. You next adjust the box to your liking of width, length and height. These will be our door and windows.
The cone shaped emblem seen here allows you to freely move the slab up and down once selected.
With that knowledge we are now ready to place our windows and door
To get these 3 identical slabs all you must do is select an existing slab, copy and then paste onto the grid.
We will now raise 2 of the slabs up and slightly into the house to create indents. You will also do the same with the door on the ground floor. Once they are slightly inside of your house you will then group all 4 shapes together by clicking your left mouse pad outside of the model and moving your cursor over the 4 shapes. Once they are all highlighted you can press ctrl+g to group.
Now that we created our house lets add some more to our creation!
To add text to our creation all you must do is select the “TEXT” option where we found our shapes. Once placed on the roof of your house, you will have the option to put whatever you want as your text. Reshape the text with the small boxes on the corners. You can also put a specific numbered size when you click on the boxes. If you want to change the color you can press the circle you see above the word solid. (this applies to every shape you on screen)
We're almost done with our creation. All we have to do now is add a small character. For us to get to this character there will be a heading above our shapes saying “Basic Shapes”. Click and select “creatures and characters”. Here you can select anything you want! However once you place on your pad it will look extremely large. Here's what I do to make it smaller without worrying if its proportionate: divide! Like I said before, when you select the small boxes on the corners of something you have placed you can adjust the numbers. If you want something a little smaller than your house, divide the numbers by 5 to have the length, width, and height of my character.
